Principal's Message

Dear Families of Ambuehl Elementary,

Welcome to Ambuehl Elementary, home of the Soaring Eagles. I hope you are enjoying a safe and relaxing summer. As I reflect back on the previous school, I am impressed with the students and staff. . . we had a great year! Of course, we had our challenges, but we also many victories. The Ambuehl PTA, a small but mighty group lead by Jeanne Walker, did an outstanding job supporting our students. The Jog-a-thon was a huge success, as was our annual Carnival. The dunk tank was a little cold at first, but I got used to it. The Read-a-thon brought in a large donation for more and updated books to the school's library. The PTA community events such as Trunk or Treat, were very well attended and enjoyed by the entire San Juan community.

The year ended better-sweet as we said good-bye to our 5th grade students and sent them off to middle school. . . watch out Marco, here they come! The end of the year activities were a blast! The Variety Show knocked everyone's socks off and the Beach Day is always a favorite of mine. On the last day, the Promotion Ceremony was held. This is a very emotional event, the day we actually say "good-bye" to some of our students; many of whom have been at Ambuehl since Kindergarten. Go out into the world and make us proud, Ambuehl Eagles!

This summer, Ambuehl is going through a renovation. When you return on August 20, you will notice a new library, enhanced technology, and an updated playground. Look for school messages on our new electronic marquee. If you stop by before August 10, the administrative offices will be housed in the 300 Building. Enter through the parking lot we share with the Church of San Juan Capistrano.

Enjoy your summer. I look forward to welcoming everyone to the 2019/20 school on August 20.
